  “Savannah.”

Her head rolls to its side, looking at me. When we pass beneath a street light, I see that her face shows pure desire. For this. For us. “Baby, move your hand. I can’t drive with your hand on my cock.” She squeezes me through my jeans, then releases. I thank God I didn’t have to beg her to release me. I need to get to her house quickly, but safely.

My fingers delve inside her panties, skimming her slit. She is soaked with desire.

“Please, Liam,” she moans, spreading her thighs even farther. She’s rolling her hips, trying to get my hand where she needs it.

“You’re so wet for me, baby. I can’t wait to feel this around my cock.” I slip one finger inside of her, slowly moving in and out. The wind ripping around heightens the intensity. We’re in a wind tunnel, aching to attach to each other and get lost from the world.

  “More,” she begs.

I slip another finger inside her, but continue at my leisurely pace. She’s rolling her hips, trying to get my fingers deeper, greedy for a release. I pull them all the way out and smooth them over her clit. She bucks against my hand.

As we get closer to her house, I slip my fingers back inside her, all the way to the knuckle. I finger fuck her hard and fast. She begs for more. I keep her on the edge. Her juices seep on my hand. I curl my fingers inside her, hitting her g-spot. I pull my fingers almost out, leaving her the tips.

She’s crying out in frustration, begging me. “Liam, please. I need you. Please.” Her head is back, her eyes shut tight. I’m doing everything I can to keep my eyes on the road as we approach her neighborhood. Just a couple streets away from pure bliss.

I slam my fingers inside her, curling, hitting that spot again and again. “Give it to me, Savannah. Scream for me, baby.” She’s rocking against me, moaning and crying my name. My name has never sounded so damn good. I hope all the neighbors hear my name on her lips. I feel like a goddamn caveman wanting to claim her. I want everyone to know that this girl is fucking mine.

When we pull onto her street, I strum her clit while I continue to fuck her pussy with my fingers. “Come,” I demand as I pull into her driveway. I hit her g-spot with my fingers, at the same time pinching her clit. She screams in ecstasy. My fingers are out the moment her orgasm waves stop rolling. I run around the side of my Jeep to gather her in my arms.

The sight of her stops me in my tracks. Her head leans back against the headrest, feet up on the seat, legs bent and spread. Her thong is to the side. I see her pussy lips glisten. I toss her over my shoulder for the second time today.

She’s repeating, “So good, Liam. So, so, good. So good. I want more.”

“I’m going to give you a hell of a lot more, baby.”

I drop her to her feet at the front door. She quickly finds her keys and unlocks the door. We rush in, and I close the door with my foot and lift her up. I slam her back into the door and start kissing her. Her legs are wrapped around my waist.

  “Harper?” I ask.

  “Inventory tonight. We’re alone.”

“Where’s your room?” My fingers are back inside her. Her hand has snaked through our bodies, unbuckling my jeans.

“No time,” she says. “Right here, right now. Please, Liam. Right here.”

She’s rocking against my hand. When I tear my fingers away from her wet pussy, she whimpers.

“Don’t worry, baby. I’m not leaving you hanging. I’m going to fill your tight pussy.” I tear her panties away from her body.

  “Fuck me,” she moans.

I have the condom from my wallet rolled onto my cock in record time. I don’t waste time before I slam home.

I cry out in pleasure, she cries out in pain. I freeze. Her tight, wet pussy is gripping me like a vise. I look at her face. Her eyes are screwed shut, except this time it isn’t from ecstasy, she’s in pain. I start pulling out. She cries out again and says, “No, don’t. Give me a second, it’s been a long time.”

I kiss her hard, giving her time to adjust to my size. She starts rolling her hips in time with her tongue. “Ready, baby?” I ask. I know this will be over too quickly. She feels too damn good and I’ve been hard all day, my cock ready for a release.

“Yes, yes,” she cries out, rocking forward.

I start slow, rocking into her, making sure she’s adjusted. She groans in frustration when I don’t go all the way inside her before pulling back. “Harder. Faster. More.”

“I fucking love how vocal you are, baby.” I pull down the front of her dress, baring her tits. One hand squeezes her ass, and I start rolling her nipple with the other—I slam into her, giving her exactly what she wants.

I bend my head, sucking her nipple into my mouth, trying to get her closer and keep my orgasm at bay. I know she’s closer, but she’s not there yet. I leave her nipple to play with her clit, pinching it. “Get there, baby. Can’t hold off much longer.” I’m fucking her in long, deep, hard strokes.

“I can’t believe how good you feel, Savannah. I want to fuck every damn inch of your body. Your pussy feels so good around me.” Her walls flutter around my cock as she edges closer to orgasm. Against her nipple, I tell her, “Come on my cock, baby. Fucking squeeze me, let me feel you.” I suck her nipple into my mouth, playing with the tip. I rub steady circles against her clit. I don’t take my eyes off her face.

She’s looking into my eyes as she leaps over the edge. “Liam,” she cries out. I don’t let go of her nipple or clit as I continue to fuck her through her orgasm.

“Now, you give me yours,” she whispers against my lips before I start kissing her. Three more hard pumps, and I spill into her, fucking her hard through my orgasm.

I’m spent, ready to collapse. I hold her close. The condom is on my cock, still half-hard; we’re both dressed. My head rests on her shoulder. I’m ready to carry her to bed and sleep with her tucked against me all night.

  “Where’s your room, gorgeous?”

She pushes her hands against my chest. I lean my chest away from her, but we’re still connected. “I don’t think that’s a good idea.” She won’t look me in the eye, so I force her chin over to look at me.

  “What’s not a good idea?”

“You staying. This was, um...” She looks around, avoiding my gaze. Worry starts to build in my chest. “It was fun and spectacular. That was the best orgasm I’ve ever had. Well, orgasms including what happened in the car ... both times.”

I’m happy, knowing this. She did the same for me. I’ve never needed someone this way. I’ve never come so hard in my life.

She continues, causing my happiness to fade quickly. “I think you should go.”

“Baby, I’m still inside you. I don’t want to leave. I want to sleep tonight with you tucked under my arm.”

  “I don’t think I’m ready for that.”

“Again, I’m still inside you, but you’re not ready to sleep next to me?”

“No,” she says, looking down. I use my fingers to bring her chin up, and her gaze slowly follows.

“That’s okay. I want to sleep next to you, but I respect your space.” As much as I want to go for another round, I will respect her. I’ll give her everything she needs and show her she might need me, too. I kiss her lips softly as I pull out of her. I groan from the sensation, already missing her inviting heat. “Where’s your bathroom?”

  She points down the hall.

I clean up, wrap the condom in toilet paper, and toss it in the trashcan. I return from the bathroom to find her pacing back and forth in front of the door, biting her thumbnail. “Are you okay, Savannah? Was it too much?”

“No,” she answers before she sighs. “Maybe. Like I said, it’s been a long time, and this is just a lot. I had fun, but I don’t want to disappoint you if I can’t offer you what you want.”

I step closer to her, stopping her in her tracks. I wrap her in a hug, kiss the top of her head, and whisper into her hair, “Sweetheart, we will go as slow or fast as you need. Don’t regret tonight
. It was amazing.”

She melts into me, wrapping her arms around my waist. “I don’t regret it.”

I pull back just enough to see her face and kiss her deeply. “It’s taking everything I have to leave you.”

“Thank you, Liam.” She rises on her toes and kisses me once more before opening the door. I step out on the porch, pulling her back into me kissing her with everything I can’t say.

  SAVANNAH

  “T hat’s a new look.”

“What?” I ask my co-worker, Natasha. I look over at her. I’m in the kitchen of our office, making my morning coffee. I didn’t hear her come in. I thought I was still alone.

“You’re completely zoned out over there. I said ‘Good morning,’ and you were just staring straight ahead with a small smile on your face, stirring your coffee. You are never happy in the mornings.”

“Oh, it’s nothing,” I lie, but I can’t help the smile that spreads across my face. Natasha doesn’t miss it, either. We’ve shared an office space for the last two years. We’ve gotten to know each other pretty well; we often go to lunch and talk about our lives—but I don’t share much. We’ve never gotten together outside of work. It’s an unspoken agreement that we are work friends, and that’s it. It works for us.

“Girl, my douche of an ex-husband decided this weekend that he wants more time with the kids. I reluctantly agreed, then he didn’t show. I spent the rest of the weekend consoling the girls and trying to pull them away from the window. Let me in on what’s giving you that smile.”

  “He didn’t,” I hissed.

  “He did.”

“What an asshole. How are the girls?”

“Heartbroken,” she responds solemnly. When she looks down at the floor, I see the anguish in her face. It hasn’t been an easy road for her. Natasha suddenly looks up and strolls toward me. She points her finger in my face. “You are not changing the subject. Tell me.”

I sighed, knowing I wouldn’t get out of this. She is persistent when she wants information. She will relentlessly badger me for the rest of the day until I give in to her demands. She should be a terrorist interrogator.

I start walking toward our office without saying anything. I’m not going to spill while we’re in the kitchen. The kitchen is in the center of our building; too many people can hear everything in the kitchen.

Natasha closes the door to our cramped office after she follows me in. The space is only enough to allow one desk, but our boss insisted we share this space, so we have two work spaces crammed in here. They are in opposite corners, with our backs to each other. We mastered the art of gymnastics, since hopping over the chairs is pretty much the only way to get out if we’re both sitting down.

I look at the clock, gauging how much time we have until our boss arrives. She doesn’t like our door closed. She sits in an office across from us and wants full access to us at all times. We have about fifteen minutes before she arrives, so I’ll have to make this quick—Natasha will have to save her questions for when our boss leaves her office. We are good at starting and stalling conversations. We can pause in the middle of a sentence when we hear her clomping down the hall and pick it right back up when she leaves.

Natasha looks at the clock on her screen. “Hurry.” We face each other when each of us is turned at an angle. I’m not sure where to start. I think back to seeing Liam for the first time and I feel the smile nearly split my face in half. I’m not sure what to say, I met someone, sounds too intense, too real. I’m not ready to claim a relationship. I go for casual.

“I had a date this weekend. Actually two.”

She gasps, her hand flying to my chair, leaning forward in excitement. “Oh my god! Two guys? Or same guy?”

I laugh. I could not juggle two guys, especially if they were anything like Liam. He dominates my thoughts, and sends my body into a frenzy. This man has the key to unlock feelings I haven’t felt in years.

“You didn’t look like this after that last disastrous date. You must like this guy. You saw him twice in one weekend? Or was it actually one long date and y’all didn’t get out of bed all weekend?” She waggles her eyebrows, trying to look seductive.

I laugh at her goofiness. “Two dates. Two beginnings and two endings. Yeah, I like him. He’s ... he’s...”

Our door whips open. I glance at the clock. Dammit, the Witch is early today.

“Why is this door closed? Is that any way to start the week? I expect you both to be present and available at all times, not gabbing in here like schoolgirls.” She huffs and storms into her office. Natasha raises an eyebrow. I let out a sigh, frustrated that this is my job but relieved I can think before explaining Liam to Natasha.

Natasha and I turn to our desks and begin working. We’re in the marketing department of a large department store that started here locally, and now has stores all around the world. Our boss is the marketing executive for the southern region of the country. Summer has barely begun, but our focus is on fall advertisements, our second biggest season. I learned early in my first year here that my boss is even more of a tyrant when we are handling fall and Christmas advertisements.

I love my work, but I hate my boss. I’ve been working hard to gain as much experience as possible so I can move on.

Sometimes I dream of starting a small boutique marketing company. I’d cater to local businesses with design conception, and building their brand using social media. It’s really only a daydream. I wouldn’t risk something this important. I could lose it all, since I know he will come back for me. When that day comes, he will try to rip everything from me. Since his sentencing, it has been my mission not to be a victim again.

My phone vibrates in the desk drawer, breaking me from my thoughts.

Liam: It’s my first day at a new office and all I can do is think of you.

Savannah: I didn’t know today was your first day. Congrats on the new job!

  Liam: Thanks, gorgeous.

  Savannah: How’s the first day?

Liam: Mostly just paperwork, orientation, and a tour of the office, but it’s good. I like everyone I met. My set-up is sweet.

  Savannah: Awesome. :)

Liam: Totally going to ignore that I can’t stop thinking about you?

Savannah: Should I have responded in some other way? ;)

Liam: Maybe tell me you’re thinking of me, too?

  Savannah: Who says I am?

Liam: I love your feisty side. Keep it coming, baby.

  Savannah: Bye, Liam.

Liam: Keep thinking about me. Deny it all you want. I know you are.

I hug my phone to my chest, smiling. Natasha giggles behind me. She whispers in her quietest voice, “I don’t even need to see your face right now. I know you’re giddy.”

She’s right. I am giddy. More importantly, though, Liam is right. I haven’t stopped thinking about him. I wish I had known today is his first day at a new job. I would have sent flowers. Do men like flowers? Would that be weird to send flowers after two dates? I log on to order a small bouquet when the perfect gift idea hits me instead. I know he will love it.

  LIAM

“M r. Adler?” comes through the speaker on my desk phone. I roll my eyes. I’ve been asking Rachel, my new assistant, to call me Liam all day. I don’t like to be referred to as Mr. Adler. My dad doesn’t even like to be called Mr. Adler. Each time I request this of Rachel, she gives me a patient smile and continues to call me whatever she damn well pleases.

“Yes, Rachel?” I say into the intercom.

  “You have a delivery.”

  “Bring it in.”

Rachel softly knocks on my office door before she enters, holding a white box with a blue bow. She sets the package on my desk and turns to leave. Right before she walks out the door, she looks over her shoulder to say, “If you want to share, I’ll be out here.”

I’m about to ask what I would share, but the door latches before I have the chance. I look down at th
e box. There’s a folded card tucked under the blue ribbon.

  Liam,

I’m still not thinking about you.

  Congrats on your first day.

  – Savannah

I burst into laughter after I read it.

She’s thinking about me as much as I’m thinking about her, I know she is. My mind is consumed with thoughts of her. I will relentlessly pursue her until she agrees to be mine. I harden when I think about what we did last night, but I know that it can’t happen again until she is ready. I don’t regret being with her, but I think I should’ve played it smart and waited. My father taught me how to perfect a poker face when I was young. We sat across from each other playing cards or chess. His intense stare would drive me to make a mistake. Patience. Patience is the key to most things in life.

I open the box and moan. The most delectable smell wafts from the box. Dozens of warm cookies are piled inside. I lift each layer, taking a peek at the flavors. Chocolate chip, M&M, peanut butter, snickerdoodle. Jesus Christ. This smells heavenly. I take my favorite cookie, a snickerdoodle, from the package. Taking a huge bite, I collapse back into my chair, moaning. This is the best goddamn cookie I ever had. Of course, it’s even better knowing it came from Savannah.

Rachel’s parting words make more sense now. I hold my finger over the intercom but hesitate pressing the button. I know it would be the nice thing to do, to share. But, damn, my girl gave me these cookies. They’re my cookies. There are dozens in the box. I could eat them all myself, probably in one sitting if I continue to shovel them in like a caveman.

I grab my phone to text Savannah.

Liam: Oh, gorgeous girl, now you’ve done it.
